To take a course published on FutureLearn, you will need to create a FutureLearn account and then apply for the course.
Please follow the steps below to register.

１．Click “Join course” on the course page.
２．The registration screen will be displayed. Enter the required information and click “Register” at the bottom.
*When you register for the first time, an account authentication message (“Please confirm your email address”) will be sent to your registered email address. Authentication will be completed by selecting “Confirm your email address.“
*After submitting the “Register” form, you may be redirected to a survey screen for personalization. You can skip this by selecting “I’ll do this later.”
３．Choose a plan
You can choose from several plans.
To register for free, click “Go to course” from “Limited access” on the right of the image to complete your registration.
*If you register for free, you can only take the course during the designated course period.
[About paid plans]
- There are two types of paid plans: “Buy this course (Upgrade)” (one-time purchase) and “Subscribe & save (Unlimited)” (subscription). With either of these, you can take the course at your own pace without worrying about course deadlines. You can also obtain a certificate for completing the course.
- “Subscribe & save (Unlimited)” (subscription type) gives you unlimited access to not only the course in question, but also over 1,000 FutureLearn courses.
- If you select a paid plan, you will be taken to a screen to register your payment method. Follow the instructions to register.
４．Click “Save and go to course” to begin the course.
